The Great Fire of Dulwich
Year 1 re-created the Great Fire of London this week, as part of their topic work. First they built the houses of Pudding Lane as they would have been in 1666. They looked at Samuel Pepys diary to learn about what happened that day.
The children then built Pudding Lane out on the field and the Estates Team started the fire, which quickly took hold of the houses. It was a very exciting morning, and certainly a great way to learn some history.
