Little Stream Star Artist

To coincide with their in-class topic of Kings & Queens, Year 2 have had lots of fun manipulating these jumbo playing cards into fabulous creations inspired by artist and illustrator Seth Fitts.

The children worked hard to ‘age’ their playing cards with the use of white & raw sienna acrylic paints and large graphite sticks. They also used paints to block out the human aspect of the playing card characters and replaced them with bird heads and legs based on another fantastic illustrator Matt Sewell.

We were especially impressed with the care and attention Wilfred W, Theo S, Kester S and Santino R paid to their work, creating these joyful and unique works of art. Well done to all of you.
