Children’s Mental Health Week
This week is Children’s Mental Health Week, and the theme is ‘Express Yourself.’ Here at Dulwich we are very aware that our children’s health is as important as their physical health. With this in mind we are aiming to ensure the children are not overloaded/bombarded, and given time to express themselves in whatever way is right for them.
During lesson times this week we are holding yoga and mindfulness sessions across the school, as well as offering extra sessions at the beginning and end of the day.
We are ensuring there is plenty of time for exploring our feelings with our pioneering iSpacewellbeing programme on offer during lessons across the school. We are delighted that our children will represent the school in the very first Children’s Advisory Board meeting discussing children’s mental health, and hosted by Hope Virgo. As ever we are so lucky to have the support of our Place2Be team available for children, parents and staff, to discuss concerns around our children’s mental wellbeing.
Other ways to express yourself include our Singing for Fun, Chefs of the Week, Football Skills, Lego building, 28 day Art Challenge and Dulwich Get Active. Check out our social media feeds to see what we have been up to.
