Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week

It is Children’s Mental Health Awareness this week, and the theme is Healthy: Inside and Out.   As part of our school’s ongoing commitment to nurture confident and compassionate children, one of our core values remains:

 We are nurturing

We support and encourage each other.

We pride ourselves on our attentiveness, our ability to listen and our desire to understand. Our children value each other and understand the importance of being caring and kind.

We believe the safer we feel, the happier we are, the greater our capacity to be inspired.

With this value in mind the school is organising a raft of activities to mark Children’s Mental Health Week.

  • Informal workshop for all parents Friday 8th February 2.15 pm in the Green Room, with Gemma King, our in house Place2Be Manager.  A chance to exchange ideas and tips about supporting your child ‘Inside and Out’.
  • Upper School will be voting for the winner of the Kindness Cup and Year 8 will be leading an assembly about anxiety, including feedback from staff.
  • Little Stream and Year 5 will be holding Emotional Wellbeing Workshops over two days.
  • We are delighted to be spearheading the Mental Health Champion Training Course hosted at Dulwich for local teachers, and run in conjunction with Place2Be.
