You are warmly invited to visit. Our website will tell you a lot about us, but to really get under the skin of our school there is no better way than to come inside.
Please contact me and I would be delighted to arrange a tour for you with our Headmaster, Mr Paul David. We also hold several Open Mornings throughout the year which, guided by members of our Year 8, offer a special insight into Dulwich life from a pupil’s perspective.
The admissions process is straightforward, and I am here to help you through it. As a first step I can provide guidance on the availability across each year group. Further to this, completing and returning our Registration Form with payment of a £60 registration fee secures a provisional place for your child. Places are allocated according to date of registration, with priority given to siblings. In Nursery, we accept children in the term after their third birthday.
For entry into Year 3 and above, every child is invited for a taster and assessment day in the year before they are due to join us. This is a happy experience for children, which gives them a good feel for the school, and provides a chance to meet fellow classmates and teachers. We would then formally offer a place, and the return of the Acceptance Form and £500 deposit confirms your child’s place. At this point we would also contact your child’s current school – if independent – to request a reference.
If you are new to the Cranbrook area, or to Dulwich Prep, we recognise how daunting it can be starting out in pastures new. All of our parents have been in your position, and many have made the move from London or overseas. Our thriving community is on hand to support you, and provide lots of opportunity to get involved in Dulwich life.
My young family and I have recently made the move out of London, and as we settle into the area, we are constantly looking for opportunities to put down roots. Whether you are looking to make friends, explore child-friendly places to eat and play, build a strong contact base of dentists, doctors, builders and plumbers, or research local sports and holiday clubs in the area, as someone who has freshly embarked down this track, I’m sure I can help!
